Plant this deciduous Abelia in full sun and some partial shade. About any type of well-drained soil and moderate moisture throughout the first year, but once established, Abelia can be fairly drought tolerant. Sunny Anniversary® Abelia grows naturally beautiful but is amenable to pruning in the late winter if you so desire. Apply a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system, but pull it back siinches from the stems, and reapply as needed. Deer-resistant and pest-free, these are incredibly hardy and easy-to-grow plants.
