Sansevieria ’Rockman’ is a compact and sculptural houseplant, prized for its thick, structured foliage and dense rosette habit. Its graphic, mineral appearance makes it an excellent decorative plant for modern spaces, while also being particularly hardy and easy to care for.

Origin: Horticultural selection from the Sansevieria group (now classified in the genus Dracaena ), whose species originate from tropical and subtropical Africa.

Growth: Slow growth. It forms a compact rosette of thick, rigid, pointed leaves, a deep green often marked with slight marbling or horizontal bands. Its habit remains low and well-structured in a pot.

Flowers: Flowering is rare indoors. It may produce a flower stalk bearing small, whitish to greenish, slightly fragrant flowers on mature and well-established plants.

Light: Tolerates a wide range of light levels, from bright indirect light to partial shade. Good light promotes more compact growth and better coloration. Avoid prolonged intense direct sunlight.

Watering: Water only when the substrate is completely dry. While very drought-tolerant, it is highly susceptible to overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Reduce watering frequency when growth slows.

Substrate: Use a very well-draining potting mix for houseplants. A mix enriched with perlite ensures good root aeration and limits stagnant moisture.

Toxicity: Slightly toxic if ingested by humans and animals
